Team

Glenn Giles
President & CEO

Mr. Giles, an accomplished leader and experienced proposal professional, joined Privia in March of 2012.  Prior to Privia, Mr. Giles served as Senior Vice President at Waypoint LLC, where he provided capture and program management leadership to leading Federal DoD and Civilian organizations. Before Waypoint, he was Vice President of Client Services at EquaTerra and before that, Chief Operating Officer at the District of Columbia under Mayor Anthony Williams. Mr. Giles also served as the Homeland Security Program Director at Pearson, responsible for the managing, administering, and delivering of all aspects of providing security screening at 455 airports.  His workforce creation effort provided 67,000 qualified federal passenger and baggage screeners, after evaluating and processing over 5.9M candidates. He has also held senior positions with Idea Integration, Ernst & Young LLP, and was the Chairman of Telecommunications Industry Forum (TCIF).

 

Scott Hiles
COO

Mr. Hiles oversees Privia’s operations and customer support teams. He has over 20 years of experience in building and managing high-performing operations organizations.  Prior to joining Privia, Hiles served as Vice President of Technical Operations with FolioFN. He was a Senior Director for Sprint, where he managed customer support, backbone engineering, and the data center build-out for their IP product line.  Before Sprint, he served in the U.S. Navy as an Electrical Engineer.  He has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Tech University and an MBA from George Mason University.

 

David Valdez
CFO

Mr. Valdez is responsible for Privia’s financial, operational and administrative functions.  In his role, he has overseen corporate acquisitions and audits.  Valdez has more than 15 years of experience in banking, senior management, corporate finance and accounting. Before he joined Privia in 2005, Valdez served as a Senior Accountant for Community Academy Public Charter Schools. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of the District of Columbia.

 

Florin Moldoveanu
Senior Director, Software Development

Mr. Moldoveanu oversees Privia’s product architecture and design. Before joining Privia, Moldoveanu served as engineering manager for the fixed asset division of Sage Software and pioneered the use of agile methodology, resulting in a 2.5x increase in engineering output. Moldoveanu also served as Vice President of Development for CereSoft, Inc, a startup company specializing in processing unstructured dynamic documents for the healthcare and banking industries. Moldoveanu holds a PhD from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Master of Science degree from University of Bucharest-Romania.

 

Danai Torrence
Director, Professional Services

Ms. Torrence oversees all of Privia’s services, including training, implementation, and custom consulting.  Prior to Privia, Torrence was an innovative Proposal and Contracts Consultant with a successful background serving national and international corporate, government, and non-profit organizations across a variety of industries including construction, healthcare, IT, and defense.  She has over 10 years of experience writing and supervising contracts, grants, proposals, training manuals, user guides, report databases, product/services projects, and process training. Torrence is an APMP certified professional and has a Bachelor in Microbiology from Colorado State University.
