We are seeking a full-time Junior BD Representative.  Responsibilities include qualifying prospects, driving new business and selling new products and services to existing customers. Our bid and proposal management solutions help large and small organizations bid on and win more government contracts.  Position based in the Herndon, VA office.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • contacting prospects (large and small) to determine their interest level and need
  • responding to incoming sales calls, demos requests, etc.
  • following up on leads from marketing campaigns and events
  • scheduling sales meetings and product demonstrations
  • contacting existing customers to update CRM
 
Limited travel to client sites and events (<10%).  Position is located in Privia’s headquarters in Herndon, VA. Office hours are 9 AM to 5 PM.  No relocation assistance provided.
 
Desired Skills & Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Associates or BA/BS degree, 1 – 2 years’ experience in selling solutions in B2B  environment, familiarity with federal government system integrators is a plus; familiarity with MS Office and Outlook, Salesforce.com and engaging phone and email communication skills. Prior experience in “software as a service” industries preferred with successful quota achievement.

Senior Proposal Manager

The Senior Proposal Manager will oversee all proposal activities while working with the client assuring schedules are met, directing proposal team members, developing solicitation outlines and compliance matrices and monitoring the progress of the proposal.  The PM will be responsible for managing the proposal through the opportunity life cycle and overseeing large-scale federal and state business opportunities.  He/she will use best practices to increase the win probability of opportunities while submitting compliant responses. At minimum, a Senior Proposal Manager should possess the following skills;

  • Minimum 10 years experience in federal, state, local, and commercial procurements
  • Thorough understanding of industry best practices in proposal management
  • Experience managing proposal teams scattered across multiple locations
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Software experience to include Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and a technical understanding of document management software
  • The ability to use standard English writing styles and structures to write and edit proposal sections; this includes the ability to research and synthesize information from multiple sources (subject matter experts, previous proposals) into a cohesive, easy-to-read, and persuasive final product
  • The ability to work non-standard hours, and adapt to various people and working styles under tight deadlines
  • Able to travel for long periods of time (2 weeks minimum)
  • Department of Defense and/or military procurement experience preferred
  • Security clearance desired but not necessary

Volume Lead/Book Boss

The Volume Lead/Book Boss manages select proposal volumes (Technical, Management, Past Performance, Price) while working with and reporting to the proposal manager of a procurement team. VLs work directly with authors to ensure content is compliant, responsive, and compelling, and that claims are substantiated. They assist with the solicitation outline, graphics development, write portions of the content of a response and track status while adhering to a strict schedule. Volume Leads concentrate on a specific area of a response such as Technical, Management, Past Performance or Price. At minimum, a Volume Lead should possess the following skills;

  • Minimum 5 years experience in federal, state, local, and commercial procurements
  • Thorough understanding of industry best practices in proposal management
  • Experience managing volumes with team members scattered across multiple locations
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
